A useful factory acceptance test is based on the actual package and intended operating range. Before testing, buyer and supplier should agree which formats, functions, output conditions and evidence are included. The signed quotation, technical agreement and FAT plan remain the governing documents.

The exact checks, tolerances, test length and sample quantities must be agreed for the project. Not every check applies to every machine.

FAT evaluates the machine under agreed factory conditions. Final site output also depends on utilities, materials, operators, upstream supply and downstream equipment.
Remote witnessing and recorded evidence can be arranged when agreed in advance. The camera views, documents and approval method should be defined in the FAT plan.
Record the deviation, identify corrective action, agree responsibility and repeat the affected test before release when required by the accepted plan.
